Many of you will remember Sandy Johns. He bred and owner-handled Black Great Danes with his wife Sharon; he also was a good friend to many of us. We looked forward to seeing him at the National to visit and to stock up on collars & leads for the coming year

After Sandy passed away in May 2006, the thought of not having his great show collars was disheartening.  So many of us had used them for years!  After some time we approached his widow, Sharon.  Once our vision for the collars & leads was described to Sharon she agreed to allow us to take over Sandy's pursuit.

Carol Grossman (former Handler Extraordinaire and now Purina Western Region Manager) has been instrumental in the continuation of the collars, having a market for them, understanding that "Sandy's way" was not committed to paper, and that we'd learn through trial and error.  We now have the process down and have decided to create this website - as many of you have requested.
